• This will be a course in Photography for anyone who is interested in pursuing a career or a hobby as photography
• It’s a value add & helps students who want to pursue a career in Lighting & Compositing apart from Framing & Composition all of which are is an important aspect in Film Making

Why learn Photography?

• A picture is worth a thousand words! Artists express their feelings and emotions through their pictures. Photography is a medium of creative art and a photograph is a picture created with mechanical, chemical or electronic means.
  
• There are various times when photography is useful. Be it nature photography, fashion photography or wedding photography, we need photos to create fond memories. Parents love to take photos of their children right from the time they are born. Schools and colleges want team photos. Corporate establishments also need photos for brochures, advertisements, catalogs, annual reports and press releases.
  
• Photos are an integral part of newspapers and news magazines. They need event images to upload or publish news. Stock agencies are always on the lookout for pictures. There are many advertising agencies who want photos to create ads for their clients

Whom to Pitch..

• This course is for amateurs who would like to pursue photography as a hobby & also think about taking it up as a career.
• It would be a value add for current Arena students.

Learning Objectives

• Demonstrate an understanding of Photography principles
• Develop a thorough understanding of camera lenses, filters, shutter speed and exposure settings
• Describe various styles of composition and framing in Photography
• Apply indoor and outdoor photography lighting in variety of photographic area
• Demonstrate an understanding of specific techniques and methods of creating macro photographs
• Perform basic digital manipulation on photographs
